Sushi Lover

Format: newspaper rack poster

Sushi Lover kiosk ad (4).png

For this client, I mainly focused the ad on images of their food, with the copy supporting their impact. I figured seeing food is important to wanting to eat that food. I emphasized the quality and taste of the sushi, with only some mention of the all-you-can-eat aspect.

When you hear "all-you-can-eat sushi," some people may worry about the quality of high-end dining food like sushi when served "all-you-can-eat," which isn't always seen as high-end dining. So, my goal was to fight back against that notion.

For this poster, I combined the design of last year's poster for this same event with new photos and text. The goal was to reach students who might be interested in competing so they could start planning their submission in time for the deadline.

The Advance-Titan

Placeholder poster V1 (1).jpg

This poster was made to advertise the advertising spots owned by the university paper. I wanted to make it stand out as well as match our university branding, so I used our school colors and the lightning symbol, which is part of our mascot. I also thought of using the slightly slanted text to really draw the eye.

2025 Back-to-school and Titan Guide ads

Advertisers: UWO Foundation, Barlow Planetarium, and UWO Criminal Justice Department

The Back-to-school edition of The Advance-Titan is the first issue of the school year and has slightly more pages than our usual issues. The Titan Guide is a smaller booklet distributed to students with helpful information for Freshmen and returning students.

Many advertisers had advertised in previous years and just wanted the same ad they used last time, but these three were new ones I designed. I looked at previously used designs and let them influence the new design, when it came to what information to include and what aesthetic feel to have.

The engineering department has taken out a few ad contracts that I have made the ads for. The most recent campaigns ran in the Spring 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters with weekly and biweekly ads.

I started with awareness-based ads and, a bit later, moved towards addressing specific parts of the program, occasionally including resources and content specific to current engineering students.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off black and white movie poster with a short plot summary with date and time of showing. Also the address for the Time Community Theater.

In Spring, 2025, I made weekly newspaper ads for whatever movie or movies were being shown at Time Community Theater in the coming week. I used the images that the Time Community Theater website was using with a black and white filter and other edits. I used bits of plot summary on the website, but reworded and shortened them to better fit in the ad.
