Escape Oshkosh is a local escape room near the UWO campus. For this ad, my aim was to advertise each of their three escape rooms in a way that summed up the experiences in a banner ad. Banner ads are a bit small compared to other sizes, so I had to write very efficiently and without too much text.
I settled on a short sentence for each that would sum up the experience in 4-5 words and add in the name of that escape room. I wrote the escape room names in bright red because on their website, they used red to highlight important text and objects, such as the magnifying glass in their logo.

Similar to the escape room ad, this ad had to communicate a lot of information in a banner ad. The client wanted to announce the winners of a recent sales competition, while also promoting the UWO sales program.
I realized the names of the winners would be of less significance, so I made them smaller and somewhat weaker contrast compared to the text promoting the program. That way, a viewer would first see the ad's main message and then, afterward, if they are curious, look over the finalists' names to see if they recognized any classmates or friends.

For this campaign, I wanted to switch between a few different ads each week to convey several different messages. The advertisements I make for them have mainly focused on the career stability of the department, but I also like to put in some ads that provide utility to current students as well. Knowing what the ERIC and TERIL facilities are would be of interest to them, as well as the fact that there is an engineering club where they can elevate their engineering experience.
